Alienware AW3426DW review: clearer text on a 280 Hz ultrawide

TweakTown’s review examines how the AW3426DW balances ultrawide gaming with everyday desktop work. Its 34-inch QD-OLED panel combines 3440 × 1440 resolution with 280 Hz.

  • USB-C on the reviewed model does not accept a video signal.

Jak Connor reports a substantial improvement in fine-text rendering from the revised RGB subpixel layout. He still favours IPS for users whose work is mainly text, so the improvement should not be read as complete equivalence across display technologies.

The reviewer highlights immersion in games that support 21:9 and the 1800R curve. Laptop connectivity needs attention: USB-C provides downstream data and 15 W charging, but no video input. A KVM switch is also absent.
