Alienware AW3426DWM review: 240 Hz ultrawide gaming with connection limits

TweakTown’s test of the 34-inch AW3426DWM examines a curved VA alternative to OLED. Its 3440 × 1440 panel reaches 240 Hz and uses a 1500R curve.

  • Panel technology: VA; this is the AW3426DWM, not the QD-OLED AW3426DW.

Jak Connor praises the understated design and immersive presentation in compatible games. He preferred the Super Fast overdrive setting: the faster Extreme setting produced visible overshoot, particularly in darker scenes.

Connection choices matter. The review reports that full native resolution at 240 Hz requires DisplayPort. USB-C supplies downstream data and up to 15 W charging, but does not accept video. HDR was also a weak point in the test.
