BenQ PD2732U review separates colour accuracy from screen uniformity

Digital Camera World finds strong factory colour accuracy, but its measurements reveal a trade-off when brightness uniformity correction is enabled.

Ben Andrews recorded Delta E 0.82 in the default User 1 profile and broadly confirmed the claimed 99% Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 coverage. The review used a Datacolor Spyder Pro to assess the 27-inch 4K display.

At a 67% brightness setting, the darkest measured region was 21% below the brightest. Uniformity mode reduced that variation to 12%, but maximum brightness fell from about 480 to 233 nits and contrast dropped to around 600:1.

The monitor also offers Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and a wireless Hotkey Puck. The reviewer notes the absence of hardware calibration, a distinction worth considering alongside the good factory results.
