  • Launch format: 27-inch QHD, up to 360Hz.
  • Core feature: variable-refresh backlight strobing.
  • Brands: Acer, AOC, ASUS and MSI.

The launch group uses 27-inch 2560 × 1440 IPS panels with a 360Hz refresh rate. Pulsar varies the timing of backlight pulses together with the refresh rate to reduce perceived motion blur while retaining variable-refresh operation.

NVIDIA describes perceived clarity equivalent to more than 1,000Hz under suitable conditions. That is a motion-clarity claim: the panels themselves refresh at up to 360Hz. Ambient Adaptive technology additionally uses a light sensor to adjust brightness and colour temperature.
