Sony has announced a compact Spatial Reality Display in its XYN range, designed to bring avatars, characters and captured objects into everyday desktop viewing.

The ELF-MN1 presents compatible spatial content without special glasses or a headset. A supported smartphone or Windows PC connects directly through USB-C. Sony specifies a cable supporting DisplayPort Alternate Mode, so a charging-only cable is not sufficient.

The announcement links to compatible applications and system requirements. These are worth checking before choosing a host device: the presence of a USB-C connector alone does not establish compatibility. Sony also says the AC adapter and USB charging cable are sold separately.

A dedicated developer site accompanies the hardware, with SDKs and tutorials intended to support original applications. The announcement is limited to the Japanese market; it does not establish availability or pricing in Poland.
